My friend's room was underground with no window, and crawling critters kept showing up there every day. In my room, dust kept coming off the rotting wood in the very outdated bathroom, and the floor felt oily. The thin curtains let in the morning sun and disturbed my sleep. The lobby had striking decor and the outside looked modern, but the room was really unappealing. I’ll never book this hotel again. I’m especially angry because my Jakarta hotel cost about ±RM1 more, had an equally strategic location, and was so much better.

The staff were very helpful, but the rooms left a lot to be desired. I started in room 404 on the 3rd floor. Its AC didn’t work, the room was narrow, and a lot of the old things in it needed replacing. I put up with it, then the electricity went out at about 2 am. The staff suggested moving me, so I went to room 101, which was kind of underground. It was more spacious, but the furnishings were just as old and needed replacing. At least the bed was decent. If you book here, I’d check everything in the room before agreeing to stay.

The staff were quick and attentive when I made requests, and there’s an elevator. For two people, the room was fine for the price, though it wasn’t especially clean. It had the basics, including a water heater, TV, and air conditioning, but the AC was loud. The bathroom had hot spring water.

The staff were friendly, but that didn’t make up for the room. I was on the fifth floor and couldn’t get a good rest. Outside noise came straight in, and it woke me up more than twice. The room smelled bad, the old AC leaked water onto the floor, and rainwater leaked in too. There was mold on the walls and ceiling, and I wasn’t sure the sheets and towels were clean. It wasn’t worth what I paid. Staying there felt like a horror.

The room was quite big for the price, and I wasn’t expecting much, so it wasn’t bad overall. Still, the bed smelled and had several stains. The soap dispenser was broken, and it took a bit to get the shower’s hot and cold water adjusted. They also ask for a Rp. 50.000 deposit for the room key.
