Hostel 22 Dago

I booked a Deluxe Room for two nights after seeing comments calling the place clean and cozy. It was fine for sleeping at night, but I wouldn’t choose it for a staycation. I know it’s budget accommodation, so I realize things can happen, but the room, especially the shower room, wasn’t clean by my standards, and that made it hard to enjoy the stay. The location is good, not far from jalan Ir. H. Djuanda (Dago Pojok). I arrived around 10 PM, and the receptionist was there. Check-in was quick, and the receptionist was helpful. My Telkoms*l data signal was poor on the first floor, so I asked to move rooms. There happened to be a room available on the third floor, and they suggested I switch to it. Hot water was available, and they provided a towel, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Some TV channels didn’t work well, and I could clearly hear conversations from the corridor because the room isn’t soundproof. They didn’t give me the WiFi password at check-in, so I don’t know how fast it was. Maybe I should have asked the receptionist directly.

It’s a simple, quiet place and quite cozy. The WiFi could be stronger, especially on the lower floors where there are signal problems, though that’s obviously not their fault.

It used to be a nice, comfortable, clean place, with polite staff, hot water, WiFi, and above all a very clever, caring manager. Terima kasih banyak. I wrote that two years ago, when the quality and treatment were really good. Under RedDorz, prices have become much higher and the treatment has gotten bad. It’s really sad, so I’m lowering my rating from 5 stars to 3.
