I've been coming here for 15 years, for lunches, dinners, and a few staycations. Susan resort does a good job of keeping the place up. There are lots of newer cafes and resorts around Bandungan and kopeng now, but coming back here still feels like coming home.

The cigarette smell in the corridor was really strong. Staff said they'd do something when we told them, but it came back before long. Maybe having a designated smoking area would help.

The surroundings are pleasant and the weather is cool, but the hotel doesn't seem well suited to disabled guests or older people who need support getting to Pandan restaurant.

The hot spring bath was a real treat in the chilly mountain air, and I also enjoyed the spa. The therapists were professional, the setting was peaceful, and the prices felt affordable. From our clean, modern room, the balcony was a lovely place to take in the fresh air and views. Susan Spa & Resort sits on a hillside in Bandungan, with wide mountain and nature views that made it feel like a break from the city. Staff were welcoming and quick to help, and the restaurant had plenty of Indonesian and international dishes. Breakfast was generous and tasty. I liked wandering through the gardens and seeing the art installations too. It seems like a good fit for a romantic trip, a family holiday, or a solo retreat. I’d happily return.
