Hotel Permata Indah Permai

I’ve just stayed here. The room and toilet were clean, and the hotel serves food and drinks at low prices. It’s simple, clean, and low budget, and seems suited to backpackers. They also offer tours, so check with them. Since the building is very close to the main street, you can hear traffic in the room. It was okay overall. Recommended for backpackers. #Letsguide

The staff were friendly, and my room at the back was quiet. But the room I’d booked wasn’t available when I arrived, so I had to pay for their most expensive option to get AC and a private bathroom. That room had the same things as the one I booked, just a bit smaller, and cost 75k less. At 200k a night, I expected it to be cleaner. Otherwise it was okay. There’s no hot water in the showers. I wouldn’t recommend the more expensive rooms, though the cheaper ones are fine for what you pay.

The room was fine, and the Ijen trip was excellent and well worth what we paid. Mr.Tom led the tour and it was even better than expected. I think we spent more time on the mountain than most tours do. The hotel included breakfast, though the nasi goreng was poor and the coffee was really bad. We paid 300 in total, including the gas mask, entrance, and accommodation.

Clean, affordable, and the service felt professional. My only real issue was the room facing right onto the street. This seems like a good fit for backpackers heading from Java to Bali. I hope the hotel might offer a ride to Ketapang Harbor, since it isn't very far. A few more green plants would be a nice touch too 😍
