Hotel Mahkota Plengkung

The pool was nice, and the staff kindly let me check in early. They were really nice in general. But there were spiders, bugs, and loads of mosquitoes in my room, and it wasn't clean. The photos give a pretty misleading impression, and the place looks like it hasn't been updated in a long time. The whole hotel is under construction, so the surroundings weren't very pleasant. The restaurant is CLOSED, and there aren't many places to eat nearby, so you'll need a taxi or to rent a motorbike. It's an affordable option, but don't come expecting luxury.

I loved how green and peaceful it was, with trees and palm trees all around. It's a lovely place to get away, close to a hidden beach, and the pool was clean and nice. The price suited my budget, and it was easy to get food, water, and other daily necessities. One disappointment: the bottled water that was supposed to come with my online booking wasn't provided. During the pandemic, online bookings should be given priority.

The pool is a good size and sits in lovely surroundings, and the garden and terrace are great too. Rooms are roomy and clean, with hot water in the shower. The place itself is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's a big restaurant that can serve small or large groups, and prices are reasonable. A great find if you're passing through to or from Bali or staying nearby for a few days. Would I return? Definitely 👍👌

The deluxe room was really spacious and comfortable, though the interior isn't ultra-modern. It was quiet when I stayed, which I liked. A good choice for a short family break. I didn't take photos, but what you see online is what you get.
