Kawi Jaya Hotel

We booked three deluxe rooms and asked for one with a sofa, expecting the usual deluxe setup. Two rooms were the standard size and had a table and two chairs. The third was smaller, felt more like a superior room, and had no window, fridge, sofa, or table. The staff didn't help resolve it, which was really frustrating. I come to Batam often, but this experience felt awful. I won't book here again and wouldn't recommend the hotel.

The room didn't have most of the amenities listed online, and it was a smoking room even though the website describes the whole property as non-smoking. The photos also didn't match what I got, which was especially disappointing since I paid extra for a premium room. I'll avoid this hotel in the future.

I was happy with everything at first. Then, while trying to sleep, I could smell tobacco from people smoking outside my room or somewhere nearby. Someone next door or elsewhere was also shouting or singing. The walls seem very thin.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay at Kawi Jaya Hotel, Batam. For our anniversary, they arranged a lovely pink Gerbera bouquet for my wife. They also kept her misplaced belonging safe at the breakfast restaurant until we came back the next morning. We found Kawi Jaya better value than Artotel and Manuka, and had a wonderful getaway. Highly recommended.
