The owner and guards were friendly, and there’s a canteen on-site with really tasty Acehnese noodle soup. Lots of food stalls are nearby too. We rented a room for a month when my husband got transferred. It was basic but had its own bathroom, TV, wardrobe, bed, and Wi-Fi. There’s a shared kitchen downstairs, though we were on the second floor and didn’t feel like going down to use it. One thing to improve: check rooms before new guests arrive. The plugs in ours cut out as soon as they were touched, and we worried they might damage our electronics. Still, it was comfortable and good value, a recommended budget stay or boarding house for travelers.
