Nirwana Buton Villa

We ended up staying here three different times during our three weeks in Southeast Sulawesi, and it felt like a home away from home. The location is great, the rooms are clean and basic, and breakfast, which was included, was good. The restaurant has some nice choices too. There’s no hot water in the rooms, though, and the place is starting to look dated and could use some maintenance.

The air conditioner worked like a charm, so I was very happy here. The Wi-Fi was bad, but I’m actually grateful for that since I spent four hours a day swimming in the sea. It’s only a ten-minute walk to catch beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

The fish and corals are beautiful, and there’s a chance to dive too. The water is usually calm, so you can jump in from the "jetti", use the stairs, or head to the beach next door. The view is a dream, the sirsak jus is especially delicious, and the laundry comes back quickly. The staff are so kind, patient, smart, friendly, and fun. One of the must-see, must-stay places in Baubau ♥️ You wouldn’t regret visiting 🤗🙌🏼🐙

Whenever I come to Bau-Bau, I stay here. It’s always so quiet, the view is stunning, and you can snorkel from the jetty. Everything else was perfect, but the bathroom fan wasn’t working on my last visit, so I’m giving it four stars.
