D' Kubu Pratama

This has been my worst Bali stay so far. The bathroom was old and dirty, and the air conditioner smelled bad on the first night. I checked the filters the next day and found them extremely dusty, with signs of mold, as if they hadn't been cleaned in years. I started getting nasal congestion and allergy symptoms that same day. What might have been a good stay turned into a terrible one. I had booked four nights, but left after two. I should have gone sooner. The staff were friendly, but their room was beside mine, and they woke up around 4 or 5 am, talking loudly and shouting in the corridors. I blame poor management for that, not the staff themselves. I wouldn't recommend this place. There are many better options.

The pool was huge and really clean while I was there, and I had it to myself each time. On hot days, though, the water felt warm. I stayed in the least expensive room at the front. It was a bit small, but fine for me, and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was so cold I turned it up from 20 to 23 degrees. I'm a married 49-year-old Australian man and travelled solo on 12.09.24. I'm not fussy, just want somewhere clean and tidy, and I loved this place. It's a little dated, but so am I. The staff were friendly and helpful, though they speak little English. Breakfast has six menu options. I liked the omelette with toast, papaya and watermelon best. The bathroom was a downside. It's original and needs renovation, with a shower over the bath, a curtain starting to show mold at the bottom, and rust stains from the tap to the plug. Toiletries aren't provided, so bring your own. The newer poolside building at the back looks good and might be worth paying extra for. There are warungs and shops nearby, including an ice cream place, Cha ???, which I visited far too often. I'd stay here again.❤😁

It's easy to park, and the hotel is close to the main road. The room was clean and the hot water worked. The location is convenient for the beach, minimart, local food and toll access, and it was easy to find halal food nearby. The swimming pool was clean and nice. Good value for the money.

We booked a deluxe room in front of the swimming pool. It was nice and spacious, in a quiet local hotel on a street with lots of warungs and a market. The staff were friendly and respectful. There were only two towels and two bottles in the room, so ask them if you need anything else.
