Keramas Sacred River Village

The garden feels like a little paradise, with flowers, Buddha statues, and butterflies. There’s a large yoga Shala, and the pool is big enough for swimming without too much chlorine. The property sits far enough from the road that you hear nature instead of traffic. My room by the river was especially lovely, surrounded by nature, with a comfortable bed and quiet air conditioning. Keramas beach is about a 10-minute motorbike ride away, handy for surfing. Room cleaning every day and breakfast were both good, with three options to choose from. It was very quiet while I was there, likely because it was low season. The restaurant is good but a bit expensive, though a really great restaurant nearby on the highway made that less of an issue. One small suggestion: guest parking could be improved, since it often fills up and people have to leave their motorbikes outside.

The Sacred River resort has beautiful gardens, a lovely pool, and a good restaurant on site. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I really recommend staying here.

Quiet and close to nature, well away from the city. A nice fit for a meditation retreat. The pork ribs are good too.

The gardens are lovely, but the place is a very small compound and doesn’t look like the photos. There’s no butterfly farm, despite what I expected. I’d been looking forward to the stay after reading the reviews, but ended up disappointed. We paid 200 AUD for the jungle room as a special family treat. It was beautiful, but that was about all that stood out, and I don’t think it was worth the price. A cheaper room would make more sense. It didn’t feel like a resort to me. Dinner at the restaurant was just so-so, and there were only two staff working. The atmosphere felt odd, and the staff seemed bored, though the ground staff were pleasant.
