Kosta Hostel

I liked how easy it was to meet expats and swap travel stories here. The dorms are clean and hygienic, with three or four beds per room, though some rooms don't have an ensuite bathroom. There's a lovely pool for a swim and a beer with other guests, plus a cafe serving plenty of local dishes. A wonderful place.

The cafe was probably my favorite part, with great food and coffee. The beds were better than I expected, and one room has just four beds. The place is spotless, with a refreshing pool, a comfy gazebo, and plenty of showers and toilets. I'd happily recommend this lovely hostel.

When I first got to Bali, I stayed here and really liked the calm feel. It's just one street back from the main tourist area and beach. My bed was clean and comfortable, the other guests were friendly, and the staff were helpful and nice. I'd definitely come back.

The rooms are fairly clean, and the private bathroom and shower are nice. The outdoor pool area is beautiful too. But since Covid, the hostel has felt almost abandoned. It has a lot going for it, though it needs a thorough clean and some work to bring it back. The kitchen is short on utensils, and some things, including the large fridge, don't work properly. TVs and mini-fridges in the rooms would be nice, and I saw some guests run into check-in problems. I wouldn't rule the place out. It's beautiful and has potential to become a wonderful, quieter hostel away from the bustle of Canggu if they address these issues.
