Malabar Park

The staff were very friendly and flexible when I checked out late and switched to a mini-room. The lobby is a pleasant place to relax, the location is great, and breakfast was nice. My upgraded room was comfortable, though it still wasn't clean: there was lipstick on the sheets, a stained mirror and sink tiles, and hair in the shower. The staff's English was limited. The economic room was a poor choice. It had only a fan, ants on the floor, and a blanket much too thick for the weather. There was a hole in it, and the room had no sink, table, or toilet seat. The side-facing window let in the loud call to prayer, though the view was quite nice. For 50,000 rupiah more, upgrading makes for a much better stay.

The nasi goreng at breakfast was a favorite, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and welcoming, so I had a nice stay. The corridor stays quite dark even during the day. Housekeeping sometimes forgot to replace towels and slippers, and vacuuming would be better than sweeping since sweeping sends dust into the air.

I've stayed here three times and plan to come back. It feels like home, with helpful staff. The deluxe room is worth trying: it's spacious, has a king-size bed and a sofa bed, and costs less than you'd expect for that kind of hotel room. This is more than just a bed and breakfast.

The hotel is set in a quiet residential area, away from the crowds, with a garden in the surrounding neighborhood. It feels peaceful and comfortable, and the staff are friendly with very attentive service. It's clean and comfortable for a low price, and one of my recommended places to stay in Bogor.
