The Kayon Jungle Resort

The Kayon Jungle Resort is a peaceful, adults-only spot in the hills near Ubud, with tropical forest and rice field views. It feels romantic and removed from the busy tourist areas, and the welcome and elegant design set that tone right away. The three-level infinity pool looking over the jungle is a highlight, especially at sunrise or sunset, when the view is lovely for relaxing or taking photos. Rooms and private pool villas are roomy and luxurious, with modern comforts and Balinese details. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are beautifully done with quality amenities. Staff are friendly, attentive, and ready to help. The restaurant's dishes are tasty and nicely presented, and breakfast is satisfying and well prepared. It's a peaceful, romantic choice for couples or honeymooners wanting privacy, views, and good service in Ubud's natural surroundings.

The jungle villa on the lower floor overlooked a beautiful fish pond, and the yoga pavilion was stunning. The hotel covered lots of thoughtful details: candles, bubbles, and bath salts in the bath, fruit and snacks in the room, afternoon high tea every day, and yoga and other activities included. Facilities were immaculate, and the car service into town was great. They suggested activities and handled my gluten-free needs easily, remembering them at every meal. When I took a car into town, they checked on me if I hadn't come back, including one time I had dinner in Ubud. Breakfast offered more than 50 choices, with plenty of delicious Korean options. There were lots of Korean guests as well. It was worth the price, and I'd gladly return.

The main pool and reception both look out over the jungle, creating a really peaceful atmosphere. Our Pool Jungle Villa was spotless, nicely furnished, and had spectacular views. Housekeeping did a thorough job, cleaning twice daily when needed. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel, and every meal was delicious with plenty of variety. The restaurant staff regularly checked that everything was to our liking. We were warmly welcomed from the start, especially by General Manager Louis, who went above and beyond. Our butlers, Lia, Wendy, and Adi, were attentive, professional, and genuinely caring, always handling our requests. We spent six days and five nights here, and the whole stay was relaxing and unforgettable. A luxurious Ubud escape, and we'd highly recommend it for tranquility and service.

The employees clearly love what they do, and that helped make our stay so enjoyable. There's plenty of culture and entertainment to experience at The Kayon Jungle, so I'd say give it seven nights instead of just one.
