Asmanida Syariah Guest House

I stayed in a single-bed room for quite a while and really liked it as a backpacker spot. I wanted to extend my stay, but it was fully booked, so I had to find somewhere else lol 🤣. It's a little far from Jamgadang, but the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The owner cleans every day, and although the building isn't new, it's kept clean. The single rooms use a shared bathroom with cold water only, but there's a shower. Larger-bed rooms have private bathrooms with hot water. I didn't try one because keeping the price low mattered more to me, but that option would suit you if hot water is essential. There's a kitchen stocked with dishes for cooking, plus a washing machine for laundry 👍

It's a quiet neighborhood, with nice restaurants on the way to the canyon. Downstairs there's a big living room and a kitchen you can use. My room was small and clean, with a socket by the bed, just a simple extension cord, but at least they'd thought of it since I don't travel with one. There's only a fan, which was enough at this altitude. The toilet and shower had no hot water, though the very friendly receptionist said a room with hot water might be arranged for shower time if one was free. The main catch is the mosque and school next door. Prayer woke me at 5 a.m., then after a short sleep I heard the school's morning workout around 7. Bring earplugs.

I spent a week at Asmanida Guest House and was quite happy with the service. It felt like home.
