Having AC was a welcome plus, since homestays generally don’t have it. The women looking after us were really kind, but the facilities were short on basics: there was no toilet paper or soap, and they forgot our towels too. That was okay for just one night. It was an okay stay overall.

It’s away from the busy areas, with a minimarket downstairs that stays open until midnight and a laundry place nearby. The parking area is spacious, and the room was surprisingly tidy and well cared for, with clean sheets and hot water. The city center is far, but it’s a good option if you’re traveling by car.

There’s plenty of parking, and the price felt like good value. Jam Gadang in Bukittinggi and ngarai sihanok are both close enough to reach on foot.

The room was completely up to standard, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. One tip: since this is a RedDoorz partner, booking directly through RedDoorz is easier and gives you more flexibility. You can also use the promo code I got yesterday at x, RDAFFBUDGETIN, which gives a pretty good discount. A bit of a life hack too.
