Palm Garden Amed Beach & Spa Resort Bali

The sunrise from Stop Point was lovely, with colorful fishing boats along the beach and a calm sea. We went back at 4:30 am to watch the flotilla head out, then saw them return with their catch by 8. From the same spot at sunrise, you can make out the mountains in Lombok until the sun comes up and hides them. There’s lots of snorkeling and diving nearby too, with coral, fish, turtles and dive wrecks. A scooter was handy for getting around. Our deluxe villa was outstanding for the week, and it was checked and cleaned each day while we had breakfast. The grounds were kept tidy and watered. The whole complex was clean, and the welcome from the friendly staff at the entrance made us feel comfortable right away. The meals looked great and tasted so good. We loved our stay and would happily return and recommend it. Special thanks to all the girls who made us feel so welcome. Terima kasih banyak. Waking up to barking dogs and noisy roosters is part of life in Bali, so earplugs are cheap.

Snorkelling on the reef was a highlight, and it was easy to hire gear at reception. I also loved the on-site massages, and the pool, bar and restaurant are right near the rooms. The resort is well located for the beach and good cafés and restaurants. The rooms were modern and comfortable, the meals were excellent, and the staff were helpful and exceptionally friendly throughout our visit. There’s free Wi-Fi too. There are lots of roosters nearby, crowing from dawn to dusk. Some guests may find that bothersome, but we got used to it and came to think of it as part of the Bali experience.

Apart from the tiny lizards in my room, everything was great. The massages were amazing, easily the best I had in Bali.

The breakfast was hearty and varied, made with fresh, good-quality ingredients. I especially liked the yogurt and the fresh bread and rolls. Staff were always friendly and ready to help, giving clear, detailed answers and useful information. The hotel is clean and well maintained, with a lovely home reef garden right on the beach. The grounds are green, tidy and very photogenic, and the place feels cozy, away from city bustle. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs or ask reception for some, since bikes or birds might bother you. It didn’t disturb us and we slept peacefully. There are restaurants and a local supermarket within a 15-minute walk, though this isn’t a popular tourist spot. I recommend staying at least three days to enjoy the atmosphere.
