Villa Taman Padi

Update: We brought fleas home with us. The rooms looked good, but they badly need a deep clean and new mattresses. Our room was very dirty, there was no daily cleaning, and the bathtub was unusable, as if it hadn’t been scrubbed since the place opened. The cabinet was filthy, and it had something on top that looked like an old beehive. We found bugs in one bed, changed rooms, and found something in the second bed too. Could’ve been bed bugs or fleas. The bathroom was dark and had far too little ventilation for its size. There were no cameras or security. The pool looked nice, though we didn’t use it. Breakfast was OK.

We came for a quiet stay based on the reviews, but every night there was a party by the pool that went on until almost sunrise. We stayed three nights, and each time drunk guests yelled outside our door through the night. We tried to reach the property without getting a response, so we checked out 12 days early and lost the money for the rest of the booking. This place is a joke, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Especially avoid it if you’re here to dive and need early mornings.

We were glad to leave after just one night. The staff were friendly, the pool was nice, and breakfast was good, but the bathroom was disgusting. There was an old bar of soap by the sink, hair left in the shower, and a large uncovered hole in the wall. At night, all kinds of bugs and caterpillars were crawling around. Maybe the other bathrooms aren’t as gross, who knows.

We got welcome drinks when we arrived. It’s a quiet place with a pretty large pool, and the rooms are spacious. You can hear the waves, which were quite big for Amed, around 1.1m, unless the loud AC drowns them out.
