Asanaya Suite

The staff were really kind, and I enjoyed my stay. There’s a spot upstairs where you can practice yoga, which was nice. It’s good value for a budget stay. The shower was a little dirty, though I had brought my own shower filter.

The rooms were clean, and I’d happily come back. There’s a handy little gym with everything you need, and it was usually empty. Lots of restaurants are nearby, including the Thai place next door and the Greek one across the street. The staff were amazing.

We ended up finding somewhere else to stay, and only then did the hotel change its story and say a room was available after all. I’d be cautious about booking here. We arrived with a confirmed booking through booking.com, but another guest dealing with the same situation told us there was no room for us. Staff looked confused, then three of them talked among themselves without explaining anything, even when we asked. We were left waiting at reception and ignored. Eventually, one staff member said our booking had to be marked as a no-show on booking.com, despite us being there. The room was non-refundable, and we were told to sort it out ourselves.

They cancelled our 10-night reservation just two days before we were due to arrive. After repeated attempts to get in touch, it took nearly two weeks to receive the refund. The lack of professionalism really disappointed us, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.
