Villa Shalimar

We stayed at Shalimar Villas for a few days and held our wedding there in March 2025. The wedding itself was beautiful, and the staff were kind, attentive, and hardworking. But I regret choosing the property for our guests. After living in Bali for a year, I know I'd pick somewhere else now. The estate feels old and poorly cared for, with neglected grounds and dirty kitchens full of old, rusty appliances. The rooms cost far too much for their condition and need upgrades. Guests dealt with broken toilets, missing essentials, and cracks that let bugs in. Worst of all, there was NO HOT WATER ALL WEEK, even for our older parents. On my wedding day, I had to take a cold shower in a dark room. That was unacceptable. We told the manager about the problems, but the explanations didn't make up for what happened. Later I read the Google Maps reviews more carefully and found similar complaints. I wish I had looked more closely at the time, though we were planning a wedding while also moving to Bali. Shalimar has potential, but it urgently needs serious maintenance and upgrades to justify the prices.

Budhi and the staff looked after us so well, always attentive and ready to help with anything. The food they made was delicious, and the huge rooms were cleaned and prepared for us each day. The facilities were kept clean and ready to enjoy. The villa is spectacular, has everything you need for a great time in Bali, and is right beside the beach. Our experience at Shalimar Villas was wonderful. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely return!

We had such a memorable stay at Shalimar Villas. The peaceful setting is beautiful, and the villas are spacious and thoughtfully designed, just steps from the beach. Vincent, the villa manager, and the whole team made us feel at home. Their hospitality and service were outstanding, and they went out of their way to make sure everything was right. The lovely villa, great location, and warm service made this a stay we'll remember. We highly recommend it and will return!

I brought my whole family to Shalimar for my son's wedding, all 14 of us. The villa gave us space to be together in real comfort. It was stylish, beautiful, spacious, and peaceful, with an excellent location just steps from the beach. The staff were helpful and took care of everything we needed. I can't imagine a better spot for our group.
