Grand Tryas Hotel

The location is the hotel's strongest point, very strategic. The executive double room was roomy and fairly comfortable, with a bathtub, very cold air conditioning, and a cold mini-fridge. Wi-Fi worked pretty well, though the old-fashioned TV often lost its connection. The hotel itself feels dated and could use renovation. Breakfast was average, and refills took a long time when items ran out. The cut fruit stayed empty until I finished eating. I tried to order an omelet several times, but someone else kept taking my order; staff ignored the problem, and although they said it would come to my table, it went to other tables instead. Very poor service.

I picked this older hotel for its strategic location during a work trip. The receptionist was friendly and check-in was easy. The room door could use some attention, and there were stains on the bed sheets. Breakfast was basic, not ideal for picky eaters, but filling enough.

Being right next to Grage Mall made shopping and eating convenient, and check-in went smoothly. The reception area looked clean and welcoming, and most staff were polite and helpful. The security staff outside were the exception: they didn't open the door or help with our bags, which was frustrating. The room felt old and poorly maintained, even though the air conditioning worked well. At 11 PM someone knocked on our door. Reception couldn't explain what had happened after we reported it, and my wife and kids were scared and uneasy for the rest of the night. That lack of security and accountability was unacceptable. Breakfast was mediocre with little variety. The omelette was the only decent option; everything else was boring. Despite the convenient location and a few positives, our stay at Hotel Grand Tryas in Cirebon was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a comfortable, secure stay.

The bathroom was clean and had a bathtub, and the junior suite itself was very spacious, with a queen bed, a sofa, and a big chair. I stayed for a day over a long weekend and paid under 1mio, which felt worth it. I'd come back sometime.
