Hostel World The Eco living

The hostel felt clean and well cared for, with quiet dorms at night and very comfortable beds. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm and friendly, and the place had a real family atmosphere that the owner helped create. He showed me around Denpasar and even offered to take a group of us to the back. I’d arranged an airport pickup, and the owner messaged the day before to confirm the details. I’d definitely stay again, 10/10.

I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels as a frequent traveler, and this is one of the best so far. The place had a relaxed, distinctive atmosphere, and I had a fantastic week there. It was easy to get to know both the other guests and the staff, and if you like meeting people while traveling, making friends here comes naturally. The prices are remarkably low, but the hostel was still spotless, with good amenities and comfortable beds. I saw cleaners every day. They also offer towel hire, motorbike rental, and cleaning services at very reasonable prices, and take credit cards. Whenever I entered the building, someone greeted me with a bright smile. I’ll be back!

My first stop in Bali was a great way to settle in and feel at home. Shinta, Aldi, Roberto, and the owner Gurunwan were all welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They gave me useful information, and we had lovely conversations. It was hard to say goodbye to the friends I made there. The hostel is cozy, nicely decorated, and very clean. Even in a dorm, I had privacy and quiet nights. It sits in an authentic neighborhood outside the tourist area, though the more touristy spots are still walkable. You can arrange an airport pickup for a good price, rent a scooter by the day or longer to explore Bali, and leave your luggage at the hostel. Breakfast, coffee, and tea are free. I also really appreciated the hostel and staff’s environmental efforts. You can refill your water bottle for a small fee. I’d recommend it as a place to start, base yourself, or end a trip through Bali.

We meant to book two nights, but I’ve added four more. It’s genuinely cheap, which is welcome when it can be so easy to get ripped off in Indonesia. The staff are helpful and fun, they rent scooters for 50k, offer affordable laundry, and know the best spots around Bali. Breakfast isn’t gourmet, but the rest makes up for it. Water, cigarettes, and beer are also available at reasonable prices.
