The room was comfortable and clean, which made the staff's treatment all the more disappointing. An older female staff member accused us of causing a red stain on a towel and insisted it came from our hair. We genuinely didn't know where it came from, and none of us have red hair. She raised her voice and shouted, making an already uncomfortable situation worse. There was no respectful conversation or proper attempt to investigate, just repeated accusations, and we were made to pay for the towel. The room itself was good, but how guests are treated matters too. Given the staff member's attitude and lack of professionalism, I'm not sure I'd stay again.

I really enjoyed the peaceful setting. The landscaping was lovely and well cared for, the room matched the listing, and breakfast was simple but delicious. It's away from the busy beach and bar area, which suited me when I wanted somewhere quiet. Small grocery shops, a laundry and a salon are nearby, and a Grab car to Seminyak or Legian costs under 100K. The owner and staff were warm and friendly. They reheated my pizza, and the owner gave me a flowering plant to grow. I love this place, highly recommend it, and would stay again on my next trip.

We spent four days and three nights in the Bungalow Pool View for our anniversary, and it was such a relaxing stay. The warm pool, 24/7 security, private toilet and bathroom, and public outdoor shower were all part of the peaceful setting. The bungalow room was our favorite, and we felt right at home. The staff were kind, helpful and reliable. They cleaned daily and left two fresh towels, two free bottles of water, coffee and tea each day. They also arranged a 4 a.m. wake-up call for our early flight. For a floating dinner by the pool, they kindly helped my boyfriend with the setup. It was very affordable, as was the stay, and the sunsets were stunning. Mailaku is about a 15-minute drive from central Canggu and around 20 minutes from Canggu Beach. Shops including indomarket and Alfamart, plus a local market, are nearby. We kept buying crepes from the local guy outside Alfamart every afternoon because they were so good. We loved it and would definitely come back 💛

The room wasn't very restful: I could hear noise from outside, and repeated gecko sounds inside bothered us. Wi-Fi was weak, the TV signal kept cutting out, and the body wash didn't smell very nice. The staff service, though, was excellent and much appreciated.

A lovely, well-kept and clean guest house at a low price, tucked into a residential area that's quiet but convenient for reaching many of the island's main destinations. The owners are around and ready to help with whatever you need, and the restaurant serves very good breakfast, lunch and dinner. The outdoor shower is especially cool.
