Bias Bungalows

For a last-minute arrival, it worked well: the friendly staff had a room ready with a towel, and the area is probably the calmest. I’d use it as a dependable backup if nearby options were full or it was late, especially if you like the neighborhood. I stayed one night. The room is basically a bed and a decent bathroom, with little furniture, poor night lighting, and WiFi that isn’t good. There’s no breakfast either, so at $9 it doesn’t feel like the island’s best value when the cheapest decent private room is $7 right now. If they switched WiFi providers, added lights in the room and bathroom, and used white sheets, I’d recommend it. For now, it’s a good plan B with lovely staff.

The family running the place are lovely. They can arrange bicycles and laundry, and the breakfast was the best we had in Indonesia, with generous portions, sweet and savory choices, fruit salad, and hot drinks. They really seem to care about what they do. Our simple room and bathroom were clean, and they changed the linen after a few days. Towels, toilet paper, and soap were provided. It’s close to both the beach and the sunset point. It’s very cheap, so don’t expect fancy furniture or a pool, but for the price it was the best place we’d stayed so far. And there are lots of lovely cats too 😊

The bed was comfortable, and the staff member, maybe the owner, was always smiling and very nice. Each bungalow has a small outdoor sitting space where you can leave towels or other things, but there were so many bugs that I didn’t really enjoy using it. The beach is about a five-minute walk away. There’s a TV, though it only gets Indonesian channels. I stayed three nights, and I assume rooms are cleaned between guests only. I’m torn between three and four stars. It wasn’t a bad stay, but for what we got, 2.200.000 IRP didn’t feel all that cheap.

A good deal for the price, with a comfortable bed, nice toilets, towels, and breakfast included. The beach is close and the owner is really kind. There’s only a fan, no air conditioning, and the shower water isn’t hot.
