Rumah Gemala Gili Air

The owner was really lovely, the bed was comfy, and the AC worked great. It’s near the pier and easy to get to on foot or by bike. I really enjoyed staying here and would come back!

It was close to everything, from the centre to the sunset area and the pier. The staff were really helpful too, and the price was very good.

We slept through the mosque’s call to prayer some of the time, and other times it woke us, but it didn’t have a huge effect on our sleep. The place is close to the mosque, the nicest beach, and great sunsets. The bed, sheets, and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the owners were so friendly. There’s free drinking water and a little kitchen for light cooking. We couldn’t have picked a better place on Gili Air, 10/10!

If you’re looking for budget accommodation in Gili Air with a more modern setup, Abams Gili Air is a decent option. There are plenty of restaurants and little shops close by, as well as a nice beach, though that beach is only nice when the tide is high. The pier is nearby too, which is useful since there’s no transport on the island. There was no hot water at all. We were told bikes were complimentary for guests, but there was an extra charge, and it was much more expensive than at other rental places around the island. We could hear the nearby mosque’s call to prayer, though it didn’t particularly bother us.
