The owner’s behavior was my main concern. In my view, he acted inappropriately toward some vulnerable female guests and took advantage of their trust. He brought them to his place, and they still paid for accommodation even though they didn’t really stay there. He also often complains, presents himself as a victim, and calls his team lazy. My own issue was that my clothes had been waiting three days to be washed, and I needed them before I left. I later found out they were being washed by hand rather than by machine. While I was already stressed, the owner came over shouting because I kept asking to have my clothes before departure. He complains about his team, yet I was the one left feeling blamed. Then he turned the team against me, including people in tourism who should normally stay professional and kind to guests. I find the owner’s behavior narcissistic and unhealthy. The place is also very expensive for the quality of service. I believe karma exists.

The staff were great, and the space is super creative. There are activities every day, and the island is beautiful too. I made friends here for life. Strong recommendation for all kinds of travelers and dreamers.

The food was a highlight for me as a foodie. It honestly felt like a five-star restaurant, and the beef burger was my favorite, so delicious. The Rabbit Tree is full of character, with playful architecture that feels like a real rabbit hole. You can crawl into different corners, and there’s a new surprise in each space. There’s something happening every night, from bonfires and volleyball to gender bender nights, family dinners, and the Sunset Boat trip, which was the most exciting of all. The unique design, nightly events, and great food make this one of my favorite hostels. I highly recommend it. It’s the only hostel on Gili Meno, and the island is stunning, with snorkeling spots like the underwater statues and baby and giant turtles swimming freely. 😉🥰

I first came to The Rabbit Tree Hostel five years ago and keep returning because it feels like home. It’s a place where you meet incredible people and make unforgettable memories, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The design is wonderfully creative, and every room is unique and thoughtfully planned, making a stay here feel like an adventure. If you want something out of the ordinary, Rabbit Tree is the place.
