I booked a king studio for two nights after seeing good reviews, but I was really disappointed. My room was small, tucked in a corner, and had very old furniture. There were mosquitoes everywhere, and the little TV had no sound. The bed was an old spring mattress that needs replacing. When I first walked in, the room smelled like a smoking room. I won't book here again. There are plenty of hotels at the same rate that offer more.
It's cozy and fairly affordable, and the service was nice, although there was some problem with the air conditioner. The hotel is in a tourist area, so it's easy to reach if you want to walk around or spend family time inside TMII. Wedding receptions are often held there, so it gets crowded on weekends.
We weren't staying at the hotel. While visiting TMII, we were looking for a decent restaurant and ended up at the hotel restaurant. We hadn't expected much, but the food was genuinely delicious. Everything we ordered was good: grilled Gurame, vegetable soup, sate ayam, fried noodles, and garlic-sautéed Kangkung.
It's cozy and a little different from other hotels in Jakarta, with its nature theme.
The room service food was inexpensive and had an authentic Indonesian taste. For this area, I’d put this hotel ahead of even Santika.
