The water was the worst part: on day two it smelled bad and turned black, then stopped running altogether. The WiFi also suddenly had problems, and the TV service kept cutting out. I complained to the receptionist, but he just said it was fine and went back to playing on his smartphone. Really disappointing service.
There was no service at all. I'd booked a room but couldn't check in, and they wouldn't refund me.
The service was good, and the hotel was clean. The hot water worked really well. But several facilities were unusable: the WiFi often had problems and seemed to work only in the afternoon, and with the WiFi down, there were no TV channels to watch. The bathroom was also very cramped, so I kept bumping into the toilet while showering.
There is an elevator, and the room was clean, with a fairly large bed and AC, a water heater, and a TV. But the TV had no channels, and the WiFi worked at first before breaking down. The bathroom was extremely narrow. The toilet leaked from the bottom, so flushing sent standing water seeping onto the floor. There was no bath mat, and shower water ran out of the bathroom and pooled. They provided just one towel for two guests, while other RedDoorz places provide two. Most disappointing was the service: one employee spoke unpleasantly when I asked about the missing or unusable facilities.
The elevator made getting around convenient, and the hot water worked well, which helped. The room at RedDoorz @ Pasar Baru 2 was average at best, maybe small because of the 99K promotional price, so I can understand that. The bathroom was tiny too, like a Hello Kitty setup. There was barely room to move, and showering meant leaning against the toilet. 😉
