Hotel Le Premiere Papua

I spent almost eight months here because it was close to my work site. The lobby, restaurant, and other public areas were clean, but room cleanliness was a complete failure. I also posted several photos of dead steroid roaches lying untouched on the staircase for days. The manager promised me a discount at checkout, but it kept getting postponed until the final checkout. When I asked about it the day before yesterday, she offered one free day, then she and two colleagues laughed me out of the conversation. It was deeply disrespectful. I paid the daily rate for eight months, leaving about USD 8000, and never received even basic service. There was no Wi-Fi. Indonesian TV channels were available, and Fox Movies worked when it wasn't raining. After rain, it would be out for a few days. Nat Geo was the only channel I found relatively informative and interesting. It was available for the first few days, then replaced with CNN Indonesia, which wasn't much of a draw. For the last 3 days, Nat Geo was back. That suggests they could have provided it throughout my stay if they'd wanted to, but they deliberately removed it despite my several requests. I eventually stopped asking. On my last day, 25 March 2018, I asked what the bill would be and was told 11 250 000 Rp. They said they couldn't find my transfer from 13. March 2018, even though I had a screenshot confirming it from BCA. It seemed like an attempt to charge me twice. It's strange that nobody had seen the payment for nearly two weeks. This was my worst hotel experience in all over Indonesia. Hospitality is usually taken more seriously there, even when the service isn't perfect. I think management is the problem, with a bad character that doesn't fit the industry.

The room is nice and the service is good, though sometimes there's a small cockroach and the Wi-Fi doesn't work. Keep an eye on your belongings. If you stay more than one night, room service will clean your room without asking first.

It's a really cozy place, though the service could be better.
