Hotel Fortuna Grande Jember

I left disappointed, with the issue still unresolved. The water in our room smelled and looked like sewer water. After nearly 90 minutes of waiting and complaining, the only offer was to shower in another room, which had the same problem. I asked for a new room and got no response. With an early morning agenda, my kids ended up showering with mineral water that we paid for ourselves.

The executive room is great value for the size, and the rain shower pressure was stronger than at any other hotel I’ve visited. The hotel is nicely decorated and clean, with very friendly, helpful staff. If breakfast is included in your stay, the buffet is a must. I’d definitely stay again when I’m back in the area.

Getting to check in 2.5 hours early was a big help, since otherwise we’d have had to wait in the lobby. The staff were attentive, but the restaurant food was below average, and the coffee wasn’t very good either. We waited 20 minutes for dessert, then ordered coffee when the waiter told us the dessert wasn’t available. We cancelled the order. The towels looked like rags that had been washed a hundred times, and there was just one tea mug in the double room.

The balcony had a great view, the food was good, and the WiFi was really fast. We especially liked the vintage exterior and interior design, which suits us as a couple. The staff were friendly and gave us great service. We love staying here and think it’s our favourite hotel. Unfortunately, we couldn’t extend this visit because we booked too late and the hotel was already full. We’ll stay again on our next holiday. Thanks to everyone 🙏 👌 🛍🎈⛱
