The room was clean during my three-day stay, and the staff were all friendly. The place isn’t very big, but it’s quiet and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were tasty. The bathroom light was quite dim, though, and should be fixed.

The owner was really kind, and we had a great two-day stay. The rooms are good and have AC. Renting a scooter from him was handy, and he also suggested a boat tour for snorkeling. If you book the room, scooter, and snorkeling together, you can negotiate some nice discounts. Top notch!

They had us switch to another place because of a double booking. It wasn’t a good experience, and they didn’t apologize at all.

I first booked a room at Puri Karimun around 2015, when the road was so damaged that I couldn’t stay on the other side of Karimunjawa, in Kemujan, at my friend’s house. Back then, this hostel was the best in the main village, and I watched it grow over the years. Other guesthouses compete with it now, but Puri Karimun is still a core favorite for me, with its great staff, green garden, and generous local breakfast.

It was clean, and I enjoyed my stay. This cute, comfortable hotel is close to the Harbor and has Wi-Fi, satellite TV, air conditioning, and a bathroom with a real WC. The staff were welcoming.
