The people nearby were very friendly, and it felt almost like having a private beach. The beach is directly behind the bungalow, less than 100 meters away on foot. It’s a great place for a short escape in Jepara. Our room was very clean and extra large for a family, and it came with cooking utensils so we could make our own food.

The setting is great for a quiet evening and some time to think, with a natural beach nearby and the place tucked into a carpenter’s village. The interior is chic and pretty, surrounded by lush, rustic tropical plants. There are sweet kampung pets, including ayam kate wandering around, and love birds in cages. Breakfast was tasty Indonesian food, and there was complete dinnerware and cooking equipment, so we could hide away without worrying about getting hungry.

Such a lovely, cozy place, and Semat beach is right there. From the beach, head to the right and you'll reach a wider stretch with a beautiful view.
