The rooms were clean, neat, spacious, and luxurious, and the food was really good. But service needs work. We asked for one extra bottle of water and were told it would cost extra, and the complimentary breakfast we expected on the last day wasn’t provided. There were lots of mosquitoes inside the villa at night, and cats making noise on the terrace disturbed our sleep.

The villa itself is good, but the staff weren’t very supportive. We had lizards inside and asked them to remove them or do something about it, but nobody helped when we called. Eventually the lizards seemed to understand and stopped coming out. Still, don’t count on help from the villa.

We got the privacy we wanted, and the villa was spacious. I chose the floating breakfast, which was nicely set up in our private pool at the time we requested. The pool area could use a little more upkeep, though. I loved staying at this resort.

The bathroom smelled, so we kept its door open to the garden, but that brought in too many mosquitoes. Some of the towels were already greyish, and mosquitoes were in the living room all day, making it almost impossible to sit there. Staff working next door were also too noisy. Breakfast was generous, though the food was only average: the Gado2 and fried rice weren’t great, and the pad tai I had for dinner was overcooked. There’s a private plunge pool as well as a larger shared swimming pool. It’s a nice villa compound and good value, so I’d probably stay again.
