Calm Villa

There was plenty of space, and they provided all the amenities, including utensils and things for cooking. The pool was clean and nice, and the villa itself was great. The hosts were very nice and helpful.

Every area was clean and well maintained, and the food was excellent. The service was outstanding too. The receptionist welcomed us, all the staff were polite, the security guard was very helpful, and our airport driver was incredibly friendly and respectful. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

You can hear the next-door tenant far too clearly. The semi-attached villas make this a real issue. When we complained about the noise, staff apologized and said they had run out of free-standing villas. Apparently they’ve noticed this problem many times. How can you feel calm at “Calm Villa”?

The place is tucked into a quiet street in Seminyak, with a beautifully maintained path through the property. Each villa has its own pool, and the villas are very shaded, so the water can be a little cool. We found it refreshing. There are a few warungs nearby, and the western cafe farther up the street has better coffee. I think it’s called Urban something. Service is minimal, but the staff are always friendly. Don’t expect ice delivered to the room. Each unit has a water filter with hot and cold water. The villa is beautiful, though the stairway isn’t very wide. The front door has to open on both sides to fit wider people, which was a small inconvenience for us. It’s not recommended for people who can’t manage stairs if their room is upstairs. I’d suggest the owner add an ice cube tray to the freezer and provide hair conditioner.
