Del Cielo Villa Seminyak

Room and pool were spacious, the staff were friendly, and it felt private, a good place to relax. They offer floating breakfast for two for 150k. Shops, cafes, and spas are a bit of a walk, around 15 minutes. Recommended.

The cool lobby made it easy to wait for a car or bike, and check-in and checkout were smooth. We stayed at Del Cielo from 28 November to 4 December and loved it. The villa was very clean, had all the essentials, and the pool was beautiful, with easy access to our door. Gede was especially lovely. He greeted us every morning, shared helpful tips and places to visit, and even cut open a coconut for us. We had a beautiful floating breakfast one morning, and staff also took our washing to the laundry. Highly recommend.

The villa is spacious for the price, and the facilities made it easy to be comfortable: a bathtub, separate shower, very clean pool, rotating TV screen, and cool AC. Its location is handy for getting around Seminyak. Our honeymoon setup fell short of what we expected, but the stay was still totally worth it.

We left a night early for more acceptable accommodation. The villa staff were polite, but that didn’t make the place worth the price. The one-bedroom villa was spacious, though there was nowhere comfortable to sit by the pool. The pool area got little sun, so it stayed cold, and it was often covered in leaves that staff didn’t remove proactively. Inside, the villa hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was visible mold, insects, and even a lizard. Breakfast was below Bali standards, and the included massage and dinner were also well below the quality we expected. It was about a 10-minute walk along a poorly lit road to anything worthwhile, so the location wasn’t convenient. It was also alarming to see reception staff using scanned copies of other guests’ passports to scribble on for other purposes. I have to assume ours were handled the same way at some point, which is a serious privacy risk. When we left early, nobody asked why. That sums up the attitude of the Del Cielo villa business to me, they just don’t care. I’m docking another star because they implied I might not have stayed at Del Cielo. I had emailed Elisa herself about my booking under the exact name on this review, but she says she can’t find it. Given my other interactions with staff, the lack of responsibility isn’t surprising.
