Dewi, the Duty Manager, was there straight away when my sliding doors wouldn’t close, and made sure the issue was handled. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made me feel welcome and valued throughout my stay. Thank you, Dewi. Santika at Dome Restaurant also stood out. The cocktails he made were among the best I had in Bali, thoughtful, inventive, balanced, and full of personality. He clearly loves his craft, and I think he has the potential to become one of the great bartenders in the world. Potato Head is a big hotel, but the staff create a real sense of hospitality. The design, sustainability, and excellent food and drinks all add to that. I had a memorable stay and left refreshed and inspired, already looking forward to coming back.

The people were so kind and accommodating. Even in just a few days, so many staff members knew my name. My garden suite was lovely after an upgrade, with a private patio, plenty of space, and a very clean room. The food was the highlight. Everything I tried was delicious, and breakfast was great. I loved having Jamu each morning. I didn’t get to every restaurant, but what I did try was hard to beat. I especially recommend the beach club pizza and the nasi goreng babi from Kaum. The 24-hour room service was a lifesaver with my jet lag. I loved my time at Desa Potato Head and would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Bali.

Breakfast on the day beds by the pool was one of our favorite parts of the day, such a relaxing, pretty way to start the morning. We stayed seven nights, and the location in the heart of Seminyak made it easy to find things to do, eat, and explore. The sustainability touches were great. Chairs, coasters, and other items were made from recycled plastic bottle tops. There was unlimited drinking water, ice buckets in the room, and even cocktail-making facilities with complimentary drinks. I also loved the turn-down service. Our only small gripe was storage, since there wasn’t much room for two people to unpack. Otherwise, it was a beautiful, unique, memorable stay, and we’d happily go back.

If you’re a Potato Head Beach Club fan, staying at Desa Potato Head is well worth it. You get easy beach club access, great facilities, guest perks, and a seamless stay that makes the price feel worthwhile. We stayed in the Sunrise Room. It wasn’t especially spacious, but it was comfortable and had enough room for two. It faces the entrance area, so don’t expect an ocean view. Service was good, and the amenities and complimentary extras stood out most. The experience felt carefully thought through and offered excellent value.
