The villa itself is beautiful, but the service was deeply disappointing. This was my first negative review on Agoda, and what we experienced wasn’t acceptable. We wouldn’t return. We booked a SGD 1000 yacht trip through the villa, but it was poorly coordinated. The driver said he’d been waiting since 10am, but nobody had told us. The snorkelling spots were underwhelming, lunch was terrible, and the boat didn’t look like the advertised photos. One friend hurt her leg because of the tide and poor docking control. For what we paid, the trip fell far short of expectations. The in-villa BBQ was another problem. Nobody addressed the burnt items, and the main fish was undercooked and impossible to cut. When we asked for help, a staff member rolled his eyes, cut the fish at the side, took a bite to “check” it, then casually said reheating it would make it hard. That response said a lot about the service. The massage upsell was the most concerning part. Each of the four of us was told, individually, that “your friends upgraded to 90 minutes.” We were all given the same story, and some people weren’t even asked, just told it had already been changed. It felt clearly misleading. When we raised it, management brushed it off as “miscommunication.” We also had trouble with breakfast. We asked for a floating breakfast, then changed our minds that morning, texting at 8:20am for the 9:30am meal. We were told changes weren’t allowed and that we’d still be charged. It arrived late, at 10am, still on the floating tray and left beside the pool. We had to ask again for it to be put on the table. The “continental breakfast” was shockingly small, with 1 egg, 1 sausage, half a slice of bread, and 2 small fruits per pax. We paid IDR 110,000 + 10% for a floating tray we didn’t even use. Good looks couldn’t make up for the poor service, lack of accountability, and questionable sales tactics.

The villa looks lovely and is thoughtfully designed, but the way several things were managed made the stay disappointing. I’ve stayed in plenty of private villas and luxury places, so I know small hiccups happen. This felt more like a pattern of poor handling. Our yacht trip, booked through the villa at a premium, was poorly coordinated. The timing wasn’t clear, the boat didn’t match the promotional pictures, and the snorkelling spots were only average. One guest got a minor injury while boarding because of the tide. The massage booking also left us uneasy: every person in our group was told the others had upgraded to 90 minutes, then we realised we’d all been given the same story. It felt misleading, even if that wasn’t intentional. There were issues with meals too. We asked before serving time to have the floating breakfast moved onto the dining table, but were told no and still charged for the tray. It arrived late, and the continental options were very basic for the price. At our in-villa BBQ, the grilled fish was undercooked. When we mentioned it, the response felt awkward and unpolished instead of helpful. The property has potential, but communication, accountability, and service training need work. Details and integrity are what make a stay memorable.

Ayu looked after us so well and was really helpful with our requests. The massage at the villa was great and worth trying. It’s a lovely, roomy place on a private road, good for relaxing. There are a few cafes about a five-minute walk away. Grab orders were fine, though Gojek sometimes puts its marker at the back of the villa, so you may need to move it yourself. The internet was decent, but weaker in the rooms farther from the living room. Still usable.

Ayu was great at taking care of us, and asking for anything was easy. The villa felt peaceful and comfortable, with a lovely pool and landscaping. We had a fantastic stay and absolutely loved the place. We’ll come back.

The staff were kind, professional, and so helpful. The pool and lounge area were fun and relaxing, and the rooms and beds felt super cozy. Everything looked clean and almost new. We only stayed a short time, but it was excellent. TOP!!!!!
