Kubu Guest House

The staff were lovely. They arranged airport pickup at a fair price and let us check out late for free. The accommodation was just as advertised and really clean, on a quiet street just outside the main Seminyak area with its shops and restaurants. The room had a pretty bad drain smell, though I’m not sure that could be fixed. Construction work started at 8am, which was a bit annoying, but they offered us a floating breakfast free to make up for it.

The owner responded quickly whenever I had a question, and the staff were wonderfully hospitable. The room matched the pictures, was clean, and got cleaned with fresh towels every day. The pool was really clean too, though it rained while I was there. I also used the laundry service, which was done in a day and cost 20k/kg.

We had some fun days with the other residents, who were sweet and helpful, and the food they cooked for us several times was delicious. The rooms are very nice, and there’s a big open kitchen. Dewi, the owner, is so friendly and can help with almost anything, from scooter rental and airport transport to laundry. I’d recommend staying here.

There are four lovely rooms and a good sized pool, and the villa management team were friendly and helpful. Cafes and restaurants in Seminyak are conveniently close. I rented a scooter from the villa manager for just 50,000IDR a day (3.50 USD). Great place, I really enjoyed my stay.
