The bli bli Villas & Spa

A great spot for a couple wanting time together. The rooms are neat and clean, and service is good. I liked the kitchen, sitting and dining areas, and bathroom, which is open while still giving you privacy. They’ve also got a stereo speaker you can connect to your phone.

The villa itself was clean and nice if you want a private pool, but the sunbeds were worn out, with smashed edges. It’s pricey compared with similar villa hotels nearby. The hotel sits at the edge of the city, not far from the busy restaurant area, and supermarkets are very close. There’s no gym. There are a lot of mosquitoes and bugs because the toilet has open sides at the ceiling. The main closet is small, has no doors, and is in that humid bathroom, so mosquitoes and little bugs kept settling on our clothes. The shower plumbing was bad too. The bedroom lighting was weak and aimed the wrong way. The safe wouldn’t accept a new PIN. It only opened with a very simple code that, as far as I could tell, most of the workers knew. I noticed a small amount of money missing from my wallet, so be careful. They only provided the promised fruit on the first day. Breakfast was a set menu with very limited choices for the two of us on our honeymoon, and portions that seemed sized for kids. Extras cost more, so I wouldn’t pay for breakfast or rely on the Mexican restaurant. Staff were friendly, but most spoke no English, and service was very slow.

The location was good, and the pool, room, and path were in good condition. But the sheets were dirty every day, and the towels were dirty and smelled bad throughout our stay. Breakfast was very poor.

We had a lovely time here several years ago. The housekeeper was great at both cooking and giving massages, and the bathrooms and swimming pool were amazing.
