Koenokoeni Villa

During our four-night stay at KoenoKoeni Villa, the water was unpleasantly salty from both the taps and shower, even for basic things like brushing my teeth. On the fourth day, the water bottles weren't refilled. I asked for six that night, but staff first said they could only give three, then agreed after I explained we needed more. There were also ants, spiders, and other insects on all three beds. I reported this on the second morning and asked politely for pest control, but nothing was resolved. Anyone who strongly dislikes insects may not find this a good fit. The first night's shower was alarming. When I turned it on, the middle metal knobs flew off and nearly hit me. I was far enough away, thankfully, but with the rusty edges and force of the water I could have been seriously hurt. I'm also glad it wasn't my elderly parents using it then. I told the front desk, was told someone would fix it, and showed staff photos the next morning. I asked to change rooms because I no longer felt comfortable with the maintenance, but never got an acknowledgment or apology during the stay. I've stayed in many villas in Bali and elsewhere in Asia and haven't had this many problems. This place felt outdated and poorly managed, and the price wasn't justified. I would rate the experience zero if I could. I'd suggest looking at other places for a more enjoyable vacation.
