Villa Minha Gente

The pool and the villa's look were fantastic, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. You can have breakfast made in the morning, and in-room massages cost only 18AUD. Still, we had some rough, sleepless nights. There were hundreds of tiny fabric-eating bugs in the master bedroom, in the bed and sheets. We had to spray the room each night or end up with a rash. Power was another problem. Before we left, we heard beeping in the kitchen, and the host said the owner hadn't topped up the electricity credit. The master bedroom aircon barely worked and the electricity kept cutting out. We were there for a whole week and paying that much, so we expected enough power and working air conditioning. The villa provided winter covers but no sheets, which was almost impossible in the heat with the master bedroom aircon barely working. The rooms nearer the front seemed to get better power. My brother's aircon worked very well, while my mother's wasn't very good either.
