Villa Samudra Raya

The place had a strong smell, and the rooms were covered in spider webs. We told the staff, but they didn’t seem interested in cleaning. The kitchen was in poor shape too, with a broken microwave cabinet that made it hard to use. The benchtop was already cracked, and although we hadn’t cooked there, they claimed 20million IDR for it. The staff seemed clever and manipulative. I strongly wouldn’t recommend this place.

We were a group of four families, with three very young kids of our own, and stayed for 7 nights. The two pools were a huge hit, and having a pool fence gave us parents peace of mind. Inside the villa felt calm and private even though shops, cafes, and bars were close by. The bedrooms were enormous, very clean, cool with good AC, and had loads of storage. The staff were incredible, from making drinks to playing with the kids and helping us out in every way. We loved it and are already looking at dates for next year. 10 stars, luxury!

The team are efficient and give us space when we want privacy, which we appreciate. We’re always impressed by how large the villa is, with spacious bedrooms and two lovely pools. Looking forward to our next visit, as always.

The villa has huge king size bedrooms, a theatre room, and a bunk room for kids, with lots of space to relax. When you step inside, the open layout around two large pools feels peaceful and calming. It’s a little way from Seminyak’s main strip, but you can walk or take a short taxi ride and see some Balinese culture along the way. I highly recommend it.
