Pomo greeted me warmly and was attentive and helpful throughout my stay. He's learning Spanish too, which was a nice touch. The place is wonderfully peaceful, with panoramic views of Mount Batur and the caldera, especially at sunrise. My favorite moment was seeing clouds settle at the volcano's base. There's an ATM, warungs, and convenience stores near the main road. The stairs were easy, the WiFi worked well, and breakfast was delicious.

The gardens feel magical, with fruit everywhere, dragonfruit, avocado, and mango. This cozy property really felt like paradise. Pomo is such a kind person, and the only person since I arrived in Bali I've had a decent chat with. When I left in torrential rain, he insisted on helping me, and they arranged a ride back to ubud.

We chose this place mostly for the incredible view, then loved how peaceful it felt too. The staff were all helpful and made us feel welcome. Pomo especially went out of his way to tell us about the local area and wildlife and help during our stay. We'd certainly come back.

The view is spectacular, and the staff are kind and carry your luggage, so I'd still recommend it for those reasons. But I wouldn't book again. The rooms are okay, and the walk to them is so steep and exhausting if you want to come and go often. It really is beautiful, though.
