Ananda Resort Seminyak

We never even set foot in the accommodation, but after we decided not to stay, they refused to refund any of our money. At check-in, we were told there was a strict one-suitcase-per-person rule, which hadn’t been made clear when we booked. Our group had five suitcases and backpacks, and we were told we couldn’t enter unless we left some luggage behind. They then wanted us to pay more than double the price to store our bags in our own room. That felt completely unreasonable. When we asked for the manager, they literally ran off instead of discussing our concerns. The whole experience showed a lack of empathy, professionalism, and basic customer service. Policies like this should be stated upfront, and management should be willing to address concerns directly. I’d advise others to think twice before booking.

The rooms and pool are great 😊. The room needs more light, though, it’s too dark to read a book 💡📖. Breakfast is a joke! The rental scooter was fine, but nobody told me the tank was empty 🛵!

There’s 24-hour medical help on site if you need it, and the hotel is on eat street, an easy walk from the beach and places like Ku de ta. I’ve stayed here several times. It’s a true Balinese place, with a comfortable bed, huge room with a balcony, and a great pool. Breakfast is enough to get the day started. The staff are wonderful, and the owner is a doctor.

The pool was a big highlight, sparkling clean and a lovely place to cool off from the heat. Even though this is right in the heart of Seminyak, the rooms are so quiet you wouldn’t know how close you are to all the action. There are great restaurants and as much shopping as you could want nearby. The buildings are a bit dated, as you can see in the pictures, so it wasn’t a surprise when we arrived. Still, the service, space, and calm atmosphere are incredible, and the staff are always smiling and helpful. Highly recommend staying here!
