Ananta Legian Hotel

The location is prime and the price is reasonable for it, but there are things that need attention. The shower water was salty and the showerhead didn’t work properly, so I had to use the small handheld one. After walking around sweating all day, I wanted a proper shower to feel fresh with my girlfriend. We also had no towels, only bath mats. When staff asked about cleaning, we said fresh towels and bottled water were all we wanted, and that no further cleaning was needed. The worst part was our last day. My girlfriend and I were both very sick and could hardly leave the room. We ran out of water, and when I called reception, they said they couldn’t bring two bottles until morning. At 2am I had to drag myself to a minimart up the street, where I felt unsafe. A ladyboy approached and followed me, saying and threatening disgusting, inappropriate things. I was glad I hadn’t let my girlfriend leave the room. Bali tap water isn’t drinkable, so bottled water should be available on request. The rooftop bar had no lights at night, so we couldn’t enjoy it with friends and ended up hanging out outside the minimart so we wouldn’t disturb hotel guests. The restaurant downstairs never opened during our stay. I booked because of the pool and its bar, which had just the vibe I wanted, and the staff were very friendly and approachable when we arrived. They said to ask if we needed anything. Still, the shower and water service let us down, and the place needs renovations. I’d rate the stay 6/10.
