Kubu feels like a little oasis in hectic Kuta, with nice owners and staff. The private-room prices are very reasonable. The streets get busy a couple of hundred meters away on either side, and the beach is within walking distance. A good spot right in the middle of things.

The price is reasonable for what you get, and the owner, ibu ketut, is friendly. It’s a handy location for a short stay, though I wouldn’t choose it for a long one. The Wi-Fi didn’t reach the room well, the toilet could be better, the water was salty and never hot, and there were lots of mosquitoes. Thank you.

We stayed four nights with friends. The room itself was good, but there was no cleaning service or mineral water provided during those four nights. The floor on the third floor is broken, so watch your feet, it could hurt you. The owner was unfriendly and always angry with us. I won’t stay here again.
