Blu-Zea Resort by Double-Six

The location is handy, right in the middle of Syminek, around five minutes on foot to the beach and five minutes to the main road with shops and stores. The room wasn’t especially large, but it was enough for us since most of our time went into enjoying the resort and outdoors. We stayed at Blu-Zea for 3 nights and found it lively and pleasant. There’s a big, nice swimming pool, plus a Greek restaurant on site. The lobby has a billiards table and table-tennis, which were nice extras. Breakfast was good, and there’s also a gym and spa. Good value for money and a sensible choice for a comfortable, budget-friendly stay. I’d recommend it.

Breakfast was 10/10 every morning, and the team kept checking on me even after I started feeling better. On my 2nd day I got Bali Belly, and they had a doctor in my room within 30 minutes. The next day they cleaned everything, left flowers and a get well soon card, and made me feel so cared for. We had a poolside room right next to the pool. The staff were flawless and so lovely. You can hire a bike and leave it inside the resort, with security looking after it. Everything you need is close by. Honestly, it’s the best place I’ve stayed in Asia. I can’t say enough good things about the resort or the people working there. 10/10, highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back.

There were 15 of us, and we all loved this resort. The location was fantastic, and the friendly staff were always around to help. The pools were great, and our deluxe poolside room let us feel part of the atmosphere even when we were in the room. The pool table and table tennis were excellent extras, with lots of people happily using them. We were all sad to leave and will be back.

The resort is nice, the staff are lovely, and the rooms are spacious and very clean. But it was noisy. Room doors took a lot of force to close, so I heard them slamming at all hours, along with furniture being dragged early in the morning and plenty of road noise. I don’t think the seminyak area is for me, it’s very noisy. Breakfast only starts at 7am. I had an early flight and left at 6.30 am, so I missed the breakfast I’d paid for that morning. Gym hours are limited too, just 7am-7pm. Longer hours would’ve been good.
