I booked two nights and ended up staying five. It’s a peaceful, lovely place with a beautiful garden and a great atmosphere. I spent time relaxing in the hammock. My dorm had two bunk beds, a private bathroom, and a fan for each bed; there are air-conditioned dorms too. The open kitchen has a big couch, coffee and tea whenever you like, and free water refills. Breakfast is included, with a choice of omelet, scrambled eggs, or banana pancake. The family who own the hostel were open, friendly, helpful, and funny. They invited us to their family wedding ceremony and later explained the local customs. They’ll help arrange whatever you need, and you can rent a motorbike there at a good price. Highly recommend!

A cosy spot to unwind, with a lovely little garden in the middle and friendly, helpful hostel staff. In the mornings they’ll cook eggs or banana pancakes for you, or you can make your own. The beds are simple. Mine had bedbugs, though my friends’ didn’t, and the staff changed the mattress straight away. It was a pleasant homestay overall, but the bedbugs put me off a bit.

The family was nice, and they gave me a good price for a three-day Rinjani trek. My homestay room had bedbugs, though, so I had to sleep on the floor. The owners should take care of that.

If you’re after some silence, this is the place. It’s cheap and quiet until the mosch starts singing. The beach and restaurants are a little far, but the people working there are really awesome.

Oka home stay is peaceful and calm, with everything available. They can organize all your programs too. The rooms are quite cheap, just 125,000 including breakfast, and coffee and tea are free anytime.
