We had a great three-week stay in a spacious apartment with a really comfortable bed. The hotel is super central, and the staff were always looking after us. Breakfast was good, and the cafe practically faces the street, so it was fun watching the traffic in Kuta. Terima kasih, guys! See you next year! 🙏🏼🌊🙏🏼

The reception team were really friendly, and the room had plenty of space. But it smelled damp and dated, especially with the AC running. There was no water heater, and the big TV didn’t work. Breakfast was a letdown too: the fried rice had a strange soapy aftertaste. The upkeep and food quality were disappointing.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The massage was the worst I’ve had. She kept checking and texting on her phone, and the bed felt very uncomfortable against my face, with a clearly used sheet. There was almost no pressure, more like stroking a cat. We asked several times for firmer pressure, but all she did was press her hands on us and moisturize us. For the neck massage she mostly worked on my arms, maybe because using one hand is easier when you’re holding a phone.

The pool was clean, and the reception and housekeeping staff were great and very helpful. Our superior room, though, wasn’t clean, and the bathroom was disgusting. It’s part of the room, with no privacy. The spa staff were another problem: they spent hours on their phones, lounging in the guest recliners. When guests or people walking by asked for a massage, they said they were fully booked, then went back to relaxing and scrolling. From my balcony I saw them laugh as people walked away. At least the superior rooms have big coffee mugs.

That big bathtub was no use to me. I spent three hours trying to get hot water and ended up with only half a tub of cold water.
