Duo Legian Hotel

I paid around 200K for one night, which seemed fair. The room was okay, though there was a hair on the wall and the TV didn't work. The staff were great, and the location was good, about 10-15 walk from Legian Beach.

The photos they publish don't quite match the actual room, and the quality was lower than I expected from a place listed as a 3-star hotel. I was on a budget and planned to spend most of my time out, so I only needed somewhere to sleep. For that, it was pretty okay at the affordable price. I got a room for only 200k sharp on traveloka. The AC was strong, and it's relatively close to tourist spots like Legian beach and souvenir shops in the Tuban area, both around an 11 min walk. But the water felt somehow oily, and the room smelled. The bathroom smell was really strong in the replacement room, though it went away pretty quickly after I turned on the AC. The smell in the bathroom stuck around throughout. I requested double twin bed, but the first room clearly wasn't clean. The bedsheets had dirty marks like someone had walked on them with shoes, so I asked for a new room. Those sheets weren't the cleanest either. There's no live TV because it can't load, and you need your own subscription to watch things like netflix.

It's kind of quiet here, which is good for relaxing and chilling.

The reception staff were the only good thing about the place. The hotel is old and not well maintained: grey towels, broken door handles, and a tiny window that isn't really usable as a window. There's no soundproofing, so you can hear EVERYTHING. I booked one night at the last minute, but wouldn't recommend staying longer.
