Easy Surf Camp

The water made showering really uncomfortable. It felt salty and sticky, almost like seawater, and hot water ran for only about 10 minutes before stopping. I then had to wait several minutes for it to heat again. The WiFi barely worked, too. The rooms weren’t cleaned properly and the bathroom was in poor condition. The hotel fell short of basic comfort and hygiene for me, and I wouldn’t recommend it until these problems are addressed.

Good value for money, with a nice pool and a decent breakfast. The staff were friendly, and both the room and bathroom were big enough. It’s a very nice hotel close to the beach. I’d recommend it.

At 2 AM, a receptionist came to our room demanding immediate payment for an extra bed we’d arranged. We asked if we could settle it in the morning or at checkout, but he refused to leave our doorway. Awful service and a really unpleasant experience.

There’s no hot water, and the swimming pool is extremely chemical. The room also has a warning that taking a towel to the beach will cost you €100. I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous. What really soured the end of our Indonesia trip was the luggage situation after checkout. We checked out at 12:00, with our airport taxi not due until 18:00, but were initially told we couldn’t leave our bags. After a lot of hassle, they finally let us store them for a fee. I’ve never had to pay to leave luggage for a few hours. Then they accused us of stealing a bath mat we’d never even been given, and immediately said we must have packed it and would be fined. They eventually realized we hadn’t received one. This hotel is far from customer-friendly.
